Registered Nurse - ED - Full-Time 1p-1a at Texas Health Arlington Memorial
Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012
Work hours: Full-Time (36 Hours a week) Mid Shift from 1p-1a - 3/12 hour shifts per week
Department Highlights
50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment).
Level 3 trauma center
Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs.
Magnet facility
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS - within 90 days required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
PALS - within 90 days of hire
TNCC - within 12 months of hire
ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse - within 12 months of hire
1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred
Responsibilities
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
