Description
Position Description:

The Panel Operator sets up and operates routers in the Panel Shop area to process panel orders according to customer specifications. They are able to handle all aspects of machine set up, usage, and shut down in a timely manner to move orders through to the next area.

Duties

Set up, use, and shut down machine and routers as needed for each order

Pull and use proper material(s) needed for each order

Review each finished panel to ensure quality and accuracy is met according to 80/20 standards

Use cutting machines (shear, etc.) to complete orders

Transport finished orders from panel shop to shipping

Learn all areas of Panel Shop department.

Read and understand blueprints and use them to complete orders to customer's specifications

Communicate daily with Leadership and provide input or troubleshooting needs as needed.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Able to read blue prints along with experience using tape measures, calipers and micrometers.

Strong math skills (able to convert fractional to decimal).

Has normal vision range.

Can read, write, and speak English.

Excellent attention to detail.

Embodies the 80/20 attitude in all aspects of their job.

Has or will be able to obtain forklift license.

Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis for a 8,10 or 12-hour work day.

Preferred Qualifications

1 or more years of experience with cutting metal and/or plastic panels

Education
High School or better.
