
Building Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical wiring to ensure optimal performance and make any repairs
Take additional maintenance requests as assigned
Make records of when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made
Performs a wide variety of general and semi‑skilled tasks such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical
Ensures all repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule
Demonstrates superior customer service
Ability to identify, diagnose, and fix a variety of maintenance issues and notify management when a licensed professional is needed
Loading and unloading building materials and tools
Being compliant with all health and safety regulations
Following instructions and completing work orders online
Qualifications
Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques
Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Over 2 years of maintenance experience
Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on‑call maintenance requests
2 years of experience in repairs and maintenance preferred
Skilled in maintenance activities such as carpentry, flooring, gutters, painting, drywall, light plumbing, and light electrical
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
Desire to provide excellent customer service
A sense of pride in your work
Ability to communicate well with people
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Physical requirements include a frequent need to lift and carry heavy objects
Part of the on‑call rotation
Must have own tools
Compensation
$25 - $30 hourly
