
Leave & Accommodations Manager – North America

About the Role

Responsibilities and Impact
Own the LOA process for the US and Canada, including FMLA, state and provincial PFML programs, private PFML plans, short- and long-term disability and other required or company-sponsored leaves
Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations; monitor legislative changes and lead implementation of required updates in partnership with Legal, Payroll, and Benefits
Oversee the US accommodations process, ensuring full compliance with ADA, FEHA, and related regulations, including oversight of the interactive process and return-to-work coordination in partnership with Regional People Advisors
Partner closely with People Services, Payroll and Benefits to ensure accurate pay treatment, benefit continuation, arrears processing, audits, and reconciliations during leave periods
Montor and manage third-party leave and accommodation vendors, including operational performance, SLAs, data quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience by partnering with People Services and People Technology teams on enhancements to Workday, ServiceNow, and vendor platforms
Serve as mentor and leader for the North America People Services team, ensuring proper support for leave of absence inquiries and administration in accordance with regional expectations and business requirements
Develop and maintain knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, and enablement materials for employees and People Solutions teams
Ensure accurate tracking, governance, and reporting of leave and accommodation data; analyze metrics and trends to support risk mitigation, capacity planning, and decision-making
Contribute to regional and global initiatives related to leave and accommodations strategy, compliance, and operational excellence, including partnering with global and regional teams to drive consistency, governance, and scalable global frameworks
Compensation and Benefits
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $64,320 to $119,841. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Basic Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
3+ years of experience in Leave of Absence and/or benefits administration, with deep expertise in U.S. leave programs; Canada experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in FMLA, ADA, state PFML programs, disability, and accommodations processes.
Proven experience working cross-functionally with Payroll, Benefits, Legal, People Technology, and external vendors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into operational insights.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience owning or designing accommodations processes at scale.
Customer service experience with delivery of SLA-driven metrics and performance standards.
Familiarity with AI-driven HR tools or platforms such as automation software, or predictive analytics tools to streamline HR processes.
Experience in identifying opportunities for process automation within HR processes using technologies like workflow automation, data integration tools, or reporting platforms to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Willingness to stay updated with the latest AI and technology trends in HR to continuously improve processes and strategies.
