TIG Welder Job Description Join a high-performing welding team where you'll help manufacture precision auto-parts such as mufflers, silencers, exhaust tubes, and thermal-management components. Responsibilities Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel components.
Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to ensure accurate, high-quality welds.
Prepare materials, select proper welding positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead), and set up equipment.
Produce consistent, structurally sound welds while minimizing distortion and warping.
Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Successfully pass a MIG/TIG weld test and a basic math/measurement test.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Essential Skills Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on stainless and mild steel.
Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safe welding practices.
Experience operating welding machines, grinders, and fabrication tools.
Comfortable welding in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
Preferred Skills Experience in fabrication, stainless steel work, and grinding/finishing.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Must provide personal welding helmet and gloves.
Ability to work 50 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
