Job Details Location: Tucson, AZ 85755 — Tucson OT jobs / Arizona occupational therapy jobs Assignment Type: Travel (Travel OT / Travel Occupational Therapist) Start Date: March 2, 2026 End Date: May 31, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour days (Tue–Sat, 08:00–16:30 or 07:00–15:30; hours flexible) Hours per Week: 40 Setting: Hospital – covering Skilled Nursing Unit, Acute Care, and Inpatient Rehab (inpatient occupational therapy) EMR: Cerner experience preferred (documentation and EMR proficiency) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2030-$2190 Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience, including inpatient/acute care or rehab experience (required) Active Arizona Occupational Therapist license (required) Current BLS certification (AHA preferred) Valid Fingerprint Card Cerner EMR experience preferred OTR/L preferred but not required Key Responsibilities Perform evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement age-appropriate occupational therapy interventions for hospitalized patients Provide inpatient OT services focused on ADLs, functional mobility, therapeutic exercise, splinting, and adaptive equipment recommendations Maximize patient functional status through goal-directed treatment and progressive discharge planning Collaborate with nurses, PT, SLP, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate safe transitions of care Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in the EMR (Cerner preferred) in a timely and compliant manner Participate in performance improvement initiatives, departmental meetings, and ongoing professional development Float between Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, and Rehab units as staffing needs require Experience Tucson’s scenic mountain views, outdoor recreation, and welcoming community while advancing your career as a travel Occupational Therapist.
