Join a dynamic healthcare finance team as an Advanced Payroll Administrator, responsible for managing all payroll functions with precision and care. This role involves coordinating routine and special payroll runs, preparing detailed earnings, tax, and deduction reports, and handling garnishments and other legal withholdings with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and process payroll runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare periodic and bi-weekly payroll reports for various departments.
Manage garnishments, child support, tax levies, and bankruptcy withholdings, including employee notifications.
Reconcile quarterly payroll reports and submit billings for tax-deferred accounts.
Assist auditors by providing requested payroll information.
Respond to employment verification requests from external sources.
Maintain and verify payroll data, reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, and prepare summary reports.
Collaborate with third-party payroll and benefits vendors as needed.
Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with team members, contractors, and external agencies.
Education and Experience
Minimum of three years of progressive payroll experience.
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or business school preferred.
Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is a plus.
Industry-recognized professional certifications are preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and laws.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
This position involves light work, occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday.
