Position Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
$20,000 Commitment Bonus (2 Years)
Schedule: Three 12‑hour shifts, full‑time nights (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)
Location: Maria Parham Medical Center – Henderson, NC
Summary
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Essential Functions
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Performs other duties as assigned.
How You’ll Contribute
Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
Provides care appropriate to a patient’s condition and age.
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact license).
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
PALS and ACLS certifications (required).
One year of RN experience.
