About the team
You’ll be part of the Digital team within Corporate Services, working closely with the Customer Experience Platform team. Our team delivers accessible, high-quality digital experiences that support a digital-first, customer-focused approach across Council. We collaborate widely to ensure our online content, services and engagement channels meet the needs of our diverse community.
About the role
As a Digital Experience Advisor, you’ll design, develop and maintain user-focused digital content and products that reflect best practice and real user needs.
You’ll:
Lead and advise on digital content design, user experience and information architecture
Manage and continuously improve website content in line with Council guidelines, best practices and NZ Government web standards
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Use analytics and insights to evaluate and improve digital experiences
Champion a customer-centric, digital-first approach across the organisation
You’re an experienced digital professional who brings a strong customer focus and enjoys working collaboratively in a complex organisation.
You’ll bring
A tertiary qualification in web design, communications, journalism, marketing, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital environments and content management
Strong knowledge of user experience, accessibility and content design best practice
Experience with HTML content editing, analytics, SEO, wireframing, testing and digital tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A commitment to biculturalism and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
A flexible, improvement-focused mindset with a passion for quality mahi

Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $88,003 to $97,781 per annum based on a 40 hour week
