Customer Service/Shipping Assistant
Pay - $18 to $21 an hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client, a manufacturing company in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, to identify a Customer Service and Shipping Assistant for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Batavia, Ohio. This is a 1st shift role offering an hourly pay rate of $18$21, depending on experience.
This position serves as the front-facing representative for the facility and provides day-to-day support across customer service, shipping, and administrative functions.
Job Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls and greet customers, vendors, and suppliers
Serve as the primary front desk contact for the manufacturing facility
Enter customer orders accurately into internal systems and customer portals
Prepare bills of lading and required shipping documentation
Create shipping labels, including FedEx labels, as needed
Enter and track shipment details within shipping portals
Assist with invoicing related to customer orders and deliveries
Provide delivery counts and coordinate freight pickups
Support customer service, shipping, and accounting teams as needed
Perform routine filing and general administrative tasks
Order office and shipping supplies
Prepare end-of-week checks for mailing
Qualifications
Previous experience in customer service, shipping, administrative, or clerical roles
Manufacturing or industrial office experience preferred
Comfortable answering phones and interacting professionally with customers and vendors
Experience with order entry, invoicing, billing, or shipping documentation is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn internal systems and portals
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Billing or invoicing experience
