
Stationary Engineer (Pitman Nights) $1,500 Sign on Bonus

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep of the boilers and chillers throughout the plant, as well as the troubleshooting and balancing of air compressors. This role entails being the first responder to any factory leaks, the installation and support of new equipment, and the ability to solder and braze effectively. Additionally, the candidate will serve as secondary support for production needs, necessitating strong electrical skills, including 3‑phase 480‑volt expertise, and proficiency in using refrigeration gauges and holding a universal refrigeration card. An Illinois license to operate boilers and certification to handle refrigerants are essential, along with the ability to thread and install water pipes. Familiarity with Trane systems and the maintenance of air handlers will be key, given the role's responsibility for providing overall infrastructure support.

What are we looking for?
Education
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., science, chemistry, safety or related sciences).
May substitute degree with some college courses in a science or engineering discipline, combined with 3+ years of technical experience in Safety and Security, Safety management, and/or certified safety training.
Site Facilities Engineer to help support Heating, Cooling, Compressed Air, and overall plant utilities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain boilers and chillers for the entire plant.
Troubleshoot and balance air compressors.
First response on factory leaks.
Install and support new equipment.
Show proficiency in soldering and brazing.
Act as secondary support for production causes.
Demonstrate strong electrical skills including 3‑phase 480‑volts.
Use refrigeration gauges effectively.
Hold an Illinois license to operate boilers.
Maintain certification to use refrigerants.
Thread and install water pipe.
Maintain air handlers.
Be familiar with Trane systems.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between USD 41.40 and USD 56.92, applicable to Illinois. The total compensation package will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in a 401(k) plan, and paid time off benefits.
