Data Analyst

What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst, you'll partner with teams like Lending, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and IT to understand what matters most to the team, define the right metrics, and deliver reporting and analysis that drives action. Success in this role requires a proactive communication style, including asking thoughtful questions, confirming requirements, and sharing clear updates as work progresses. You'll create and maintain dashboards, perform ad hoc analysis, and help leaders understand trends in member, product, and operational performance.
This role also plays an important part in ensuring report accuracy and consistency—validating data, documenting definitions and logic, and working with IT to resolve data issues. You'll handle sensitive financial and member information with care and help improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives
Analyze member, product, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into meaningful analytics and reporting solutions
Provide strategic and actionable recommendations to optimize revenue, control expenses, and improve the member experience
Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy
Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies in collaboration with IT and business teams
Document reporting logic, data sources, and methodologies for transparency and repeatability
Build and maintain SQL queries, scripts, data models, and ETL processes to enable reliable reporting and analysis
Support secure handling of sensitive financial and member data, including appropriate access management
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and data accessibility

Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or database management
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Proficiency in Python for data manipulation (e.g., Pandas)
Understanding of data security and compliance considerations
Experience in financial services or credit unions (preferred)
Familiarity with Correlation Keystone, HubSpot, or similar platforms (preferred)
Experience with Tableau Cloud, managing data sources, and tools such as Airflow; familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques (star/snowflake schemas) (preferred)

This is a full‑time role with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The position is based at OURCU's Downtown Shelton Branch location, with a hybrid schedule available after 6 months of employment (2 days work from home and 3 days in‑office), based on business needs and performance.
