Hydrotech Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. We specialize in industrial electrical work within water and wastewater treatment facilities , and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works safely, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time position with consistent work on prevailing wage/public works projects throughout Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in industrial environments
* Work on motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, PLC panels, and instrumentation systems
* Perform conduit installation (above and underground), wire pulling, and terminations
* Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
* Ensure all work complies with NEC codes and project specifications
* Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
* Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and crew members on job progress
Qualifications
* Valid Journeyman Electrician certification (California preferred)
* Minimum 10 + years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
* Experience in water/wastewater treatment plants (highly preferred)
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation (highly preferred)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
