Human Resource Assistant 2

As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will provide consultation to timekeepers, resolving highly unusual or sensitive time and payroll issues, and offering trusted guidance to staff and supervisors on a wide range of HR matters. As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will serve as the time advisor, responsible and accountable for the Time Administration Program. Work involves providing specialized direction, guidance, and analysis regarding SAP time issues to facility timekeepers, employees, supervisors, and managers; as well as researching and resolving various problems while also providing solutions to payroll questions. Additional responsibilities include:
Ensuring military orders are collected and transmitted to HR shared services
Serving as the local Work Related Injury and SPF/FMLA liaison
Facilitating training for timekeepers
Conducting audits
Processing HR transactions
Assisting employees with benefits, leave, and onboarding needs

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days bi-weekly, upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office at SCI Smithfield. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
