We are seeking a weekends only compassionate and dedicated Recovery Support Specialist to
join our team at our women's sober house. The Recovery Support Specialist will play a crucial
role in assisting individuals recovering from substance use disorders and/or mental health
challenges. The ideal candidate will provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support to
clients as they navigate their journey towards recovery. Hours: every Sat & Sun 8am -4pm.
Must have a car.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to clients in recovery, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental
environment.
2. Administer drug screenings.
3. Keep detailed confidential log notes.
4. Collaborate with clients to set achievable recovery goals.
5. Intervene during crises or emergencies to provide immediate support and facilitate
appropriate interventions.
6. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes.
7. Empower clients to develop life skills, cope with triggers, and build resilience in their
recovery journey.
8. Encourage and model self-care practices among clients, emphasizing the importance of
physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
9. Transport clients in personal vehicle when necessary. (must have a car)
10. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety.
● Previous experience in addiction recovery support, mental health counseling, or related
fields preferred.
● Understanding of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and motivational
interviewing.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
● Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting clients.
● Valid drivers license and vehicle.
