About This Role
The School of Health Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is looking to hire an
Academic Program Specialist
to join their
Physician Assistant (PA) Program . This position will assist the PA Program's Academic Director in coordinating the didactic year and will maintain classroom statistics regarding exams, remediation, and attendance. This position will report to the Academic Director.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Support and assist faculty with course materials, PowerPoint presentations, online quizzes, and exam administration in Canvas
Assist HHS Associate Dean in reviewing and updating course schedules for didactic coursework
Work with the university DAIR office, IT team, and HHS Dean's Office to support CourseDog updates for syllabi, Canvas learning outcomes, and didactic course implementation, as well as data reports
Administer and maintain didactic year websites and faculty-student course portals
Support program director with ARC-PA self-assessment and compliance during the didactic phase
Coordinate with HHS Accreditation Coordinator for survey data needs and other accreditation requirements
Maintain didactic year surveys and serve on the didactic curricular committee
Coordinate student advising schedules and facilitate faculty-student communication through online platforms and Canvas courses
Maintain communication with didactic faculty on student academic progress and program information
Proctor program exams (Canvas, PAEA)

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Four years of relevant experience
Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
2 years of administrative experience in a medical/healthcare setting or health professions school
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Self-starter that works well with little supervision
Ability to multitask, gather data, and prepare reports
Knowledge of configuration and use of computerized database programs
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with various populations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
