Social, Administrative, and Behavioral Sciences Faculty Position

The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Harding University’s College of Pharmacy invites applications for a 12‑month Social, Administrative, and Behavioral Sciences faculty position. The successful candidate will coordinate and teach topics in the didactic portion of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum such as health care delivery systems, health policy, pharmacy practice management, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, and research design. Additionally, commitments to both scholarly activity—including independent and collaborative research—as well as service within the College are required. Other position responsibilities include the following:
Lead curricular efforts in social/administrative/behavioral sciences to protect the discipline within the program
Coordinate and deliver didactic course material using interactive pedagogical methodologies designed to deliver rigorous content
Collaborate with other faculty in teaching and research while actively collaborating with colleagues across academia
Enhance the college’s reputation and scholarship metrics through grant submissions, securing funding, and producing peer‑reviewed abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications

Education

Qualified applicants will possess a terminal degree in pharmacy administration, health policy, public health, or a related social/administrative/behavioral sciences discipline. Additionally, a professional degree in pharmacy is preferred.
Professional Experience & Skills

Prior experience as a faculty member within an ACPE-accredited program
A proven track record or strong interest in research in social/administrative/behavioral sciences, including student research mentorship, or the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL)
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, 3.5‑year accelerated curriculum
Experience with active learning strategies, flipped classroom, and integrated curricula
A commitment to the faculty role through active committee participation and student organization mentorship
Active membership in pharmacy professional organizations such as AACP or other discipline‑specific groups
Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and educational assessment software (e.g., ExamSoft)
A passion for student outcomes and dedicated NAPLEX preparation
