
Control System Engineer (New Brunswick)

We’re hiring a well-rounded Controls Engineer to join a custom manufacturing environment, supporting end-to-end automation projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience who is now looking to transition into a primarily office-based position while still staying hands-on across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems from the ground up
Support electrical design, panel layouts, and system architecture
Work with instrumentation, controls integration, and system optimization
Lead and support commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on custom-built systems
Provide technical support across the full project lifecycle
Requirements:
Proven experience in PLC programming (from scratch)
Strong background in controls, instrumentation, and electrical design
Prior hands-on field/commissioning experience
Ability to operate as a “jack of all trades” across automation projects
Comfortable working primarily onsite (office-based), with ~10% travel
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary up to $125,000
