If you are interested in this Maintenance Technician position, please contact Milos Pavlovic at 586-788-7509 or mpavlovic@alinestaffing.com Maintenance Technician Compensation The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Maintenance Technician Highlights This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is Sunday – Thursday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM (3rd shift) In-person interviews required Eye exam required upon hire (must meet 20/30 vision with or without correction and/or pass color vision screening) Maintenance Technician Responsibilities Set up, operate, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment Respond to machine breakdowns and mechanical failures Diagnose and resolve issues related to speed, waste, and production performance Perform preventive maintenance and equipment repairs Maintain accurate machine logs, downtime records, and maintenance documentation Ensure proper operation of machinery including safety systems and quality checks Monitor in-process quality and perform required inspections and adjustments Support production operations, rework tasks, and continuous improvement efforts Maintain clean and safe work environment following all safety and quality standards Maintenance Technician Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs Hands-on experience with mechanical systems (gearboxes, cams, conveyors, pneumatics, vacuum systems, etc.) Experience using measuring tools such as feeler gauges, torque tools, and alignment instruments Ability to read and follow technical instructions and SOPs Strong problem-solving ability in machine breakdown situations Ability to work 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 12am–8am) Maintenance Technician Preferred Qualifications Automotive, HVAC, machining, or industrial maintenance background High-speed manufacturing experience Experience with continuous improvement or production optimization Pre-Screening Questions (Must be able to answer): How do you go about troubleshooting a mechanical breakdown? What steps would you take to replace a gearbox? What process would you use to determine the root cause of a machine malfunction?
