Overview
ZaphyrRecruit
is partnering with a well-established general practice law firm in Missouri to hire an
Associate Attorney . This is an excellent opportunity for a
junior to mid-level attorney (0–7 years experience)
to gain hands-on exposure across litigation and transactional work while working directly with experienced attorneys in a close-knit, high-performance environment. The firm has built a strong regional reputation and offers a unique “big fish in a small pond” opportunity, working closely with business owners and a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
Manage client relationships and conduct client meetings
Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, briefs, and communications
Handle court appearances and litigation matters
Work closely with senior attorneys to learn firm practices and client approach
Collaborate with support staff and internal teams
Maintain a consistent caseload and meet billable expectations
Key Requirements (Must-Have):
Active Missouri Bar License (required)
0–7 years of legal experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Business-minded approach to legal practice (billing, collections, client management)
Willingness to work beyond standard office hours when required
Preferred:
Courtroom or litigation experience (or strong interest in litigation)
Strong writing and drafting skills (original, non-AI work)
Positive attitude with strong situational awareness
Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
