Machinist 3
– Mesa, AZ • Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
2nd shift M-Th 3:00pm-1:30am (4 x 10 schedule)
Job Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision parts
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes
Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, feeds, and speeds
Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Deburr finished parts and ensure conformance to quality standards
Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Perform basic equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Collaborate with team members to resolve production and quality issues
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment
Hands-on experience with CNC setup and operation (not operator-only)
Experience working with both CNC lathes and mills preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and machining adjustments
Basic computer skills for work instructions and time tracking
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Formal apprenticeship or technical training in machining preferred
Work Experience
5+ years of CNC machining experience required
8-10 years of experience with lathes and mills preferred
