Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
AWS Welding Certification or equivalent experience required
2+ years of heavy steel welding/fabrication experience preferred
Proficiency in MAG 135 welding strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Experience working with thick black steel and production welding processes
Skilled in use of welding tools, hoists, cranes, and material handling equipment
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices preferred
Ability to use computerized work order systems
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
Must be able to stand 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Key Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and blueprints
Assemble, fabricate, and weld steel structures, parts, and components
Set up welding machines, tools, and related equipment
Perform multi-pass welding (linear, vertical, and layered welds) per specifications
Conduct surface preparation, preheating, and use of welding consumables as required
Inspect, clean, and verify welded parts for quality compliance
Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts to transport heavy materials safely
Support safe handling and movement of thick steel components
Follow all quality, safety, and standardized welding procedures
