Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies, seeks a qualified welding professional for the Industrial Process Filtration Division.
Responsibilities
Perform machine welds on 300 series stainless steels and certain high-performance alloys (e.g., Alloy 20).
Execute solid sheet to solid sheet welds, including wrapper seams and end-ring seams.
Join solid sheet to sintered laminate (e.g., safe‑edge).
Join sintered laminate to sintered laminate (e.g., Poroplate® tube seam, Poroplate® welded panel).
Perform hand welds on 300 series stainless steels and high‑performance alloys: tack welds, weld repairs (HAZ and media), circumferential assembly welds (e.g., Poroplate® tube assembly joints, fusion‑welded end treatments).
Provide backwashes.
Carry out shearing and forming processes to prepare materials for welding, including post‑welding forming, swaging, grinding, drifting, and inspection.
Report manufacturing instruction, drawing, process, or product problems to supervisor or group leader.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; comply with all safety and attendance policies.
Clock properly and logged per the applicable job/operation procedure.
Read design drawings and follow manufacturing instructions.
Complete inspection records and tag material with an In‑Process tag per FPS‑QI‑00005.
Utilize measurement instruments (tape measure, dial caliper, pin micrometer, go‑nogo gauge, pi tape, etc.) as required.
Be trained and certified in relevant FPS‑QC sections; maintain certifications with annual recertification.
Adhere to manufacturing orders per FPS‑PC‑00007 paragraph 9.4.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two or more years of general gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) experience. Technical school training in welding, certificate or diploma preferred.
