Summary:
The role of Behavioral Health Counselor involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The incumbent will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions under direct clinical supervision.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with behavioral health needs.
Provide direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Work under direct clinical supervision for services provided.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as psychology, social work, social and behavioral sciences, or mental health and human services.
License/Certifications:
LSX, LSW, MHRT/C, or MHRT/CSP from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) preferred.
Experience:
At least one year of behavioral health experience.
