We’re hiring a skilled Pipe Welder/Fitter to work on a major commercial financial building on the east side of Austin. If you take pride in clean welds, solid fit‑ups, and working on big, meaningful projects—this is the job for you.
You’ll be fabricating and installing 4–6 inch piping systems that power essential water, waste, and gas infrastructure inside a high‑profile commercial facility.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assemble, fit, and install 4–6” pipe in hangers and inside walls
Work with copper, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy piping
Perform Stick (SMAW), TIG (GTAW), and MIG (GMAW) welding
Weld in all positions (1G–6G) with accuracy and consistency
Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and weld symbols
Fit, align, and secure piping to exact specs—no shortcuts
Prep, weld, grind, and finish joints using professional‑grade tools
Inspect welds and installations for quality, strength, and compliance
Coordinate with other trades to keep installs on schedule
Follow strict jobsite safety standards at all times
Must‑Have Skills
Proven experience as a Pipe Welder / Fitter on commercial jobs
Strong layout and fitting skills for 4–6 inch pipe systems
Proficiency in Stick (SMAW)
TIG (GTAW)
MIG (GMAW)
Ability to weld all positions (1G–6G)
Hands‑on experience with copper, stainless, cast iron, and alloys
Solid understanding of metallurgy and welding procedures
Comfortable working from prints, drawings, and symbols
Safety‑first mindset with clean workmanship
Bonus Experience
Commercial new‑construction experience
Installing pipe in hangers and wall systems
Experience with high‑volume water, waste, and gas piping

Full PPE required; welding, grinding, and pipe‑fitting tools provided
