Job Description
Develop educational programs for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers to help meet recertification requirements.
Assist the EMS Medical Director, Associate Medical Directors and EMS/Disaster Health Manager in education, research, system development, and quality improvement.
Maintain documentation for all research projects, including institutional review board requirements, journal submission guidelines, and project timelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Develop educational programs for EMS providers and community partners on disaster health related issues.
Respond to scenes when requested by the Medical Director or another agency.
Attend confidential case reviews and maintain confidential records as part of the quality improvement program.
Interact with physicians rotating within the Orange County EMS system for training.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an LCME-accredited school of medicine.
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine within two years of completing residency.
Recognition of foreign education by USDE or CHEA; evaluation for non‑US credentials by NACES or AICE at your expense.
Preferred Qualifications
State of Florida Medical License.
