
Legal Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of experience in a business or legal office. Prior law firm experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and skilled in proofreading and document preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage legal documents by transcribing, formatting, editing, and organizing text, data, and graphics
Assist with case preparation and coordination
Support attorneys by reviewing and routing correspondence, conducting research, and drafting letters and legal documents
Organize client meetings, attorney conferences, and other appointments
Coordinate schedules for court reporters, expert witnesses, and related services
Maintain and manage attorney calendars, including court dates, filings, and deadlines
Track case progress, evidence gathering, and filing requirements
Communicate with clients and third parties, following up on assignments as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
Develop and maintain filing systems, records, transcripts, and case documentation
Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and courtroom materials
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of relevant experience required; law firm experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and reliability
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
