Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This dual-role position is responsible for managing front‑desk operations while providing administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, while also assisting in the preparation and organization of legal documents and case files.
Reception Duties (Front Desk)
Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls; take accurate messages.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier services.
Schedule appointments and manage conference room bookings.
Legal Assistant Duties
Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and filings.
Assist with document management, including filing and retrieving legal files.
Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and schedules for attorneys.
Communicate with clients, courts, and external parties under attorney supervision.
Perform data entry and maintain legal databases and case management systems.
Conduct basic legal research and fact‑checking as requested.
Support attorneys in trial preparation and hearing logistics.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in legal studies or related field preferred.
Experience: 1–2 years in a legal or professional office environment preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); familiarity with legal software a plus.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Standard office environment with frequent use of phones, computers, and office equipment.
May occasionally require extended hours based on workload or deadlines.
