Role Purpose
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures the aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment under established procedures and protocols.

What You Will Be Doing

Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment and maintain records related to maintenance.

Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.

Provide proper preventive care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment for the aircraft services team.

Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule.

Repair all non‑motorized equipment.

Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID).

Repair and replace all tires and wheels.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the equipment.

Conduct an accident inspection on involved equipment.

Report all accidents to shop supervisors and managers.

Answer all radioed repair calls on the ramp.

Safely operate all vehicles and ground support equipment (GSE) and perform daily equipment checks (DEC’s).

What We Are Looking For

Must have maintenance experience.

Coursework in diesel mechanic.

Must be 18 years of age.

Must possess a valid US driver’s license.

Must be authorized to work in the USA.

Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.

Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

Comfortable lifting/moving 70 lbs.

Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

All mechanics may perform duties of other positions as required; for example, a Level I mechanic may need to perform tasks of a Level III when directed.

Must obtain and maintain all required Airport Badge.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or one–three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
