Role Purpose
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. The worker will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and perform repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.

The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment, ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.

Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records.

Ensure aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing preventive care and timely repairs to equipment.

Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety and security policies and procedures, ensuring a clean working environment.

Hydrate electric equipment according to the hydration schedule.

Able to program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID).

Able to perform an accident inspection on involved equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months diesel mechanic experience or background.

Completed coursework in diesel mechanic.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid US driver’s license.

Authorization to work in the USA.

Pass pre‑employment drug screen.

Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

Comfortable lifting or moving up to 70 lbs.

Flexible to work variable shifts, weekends and holidays.

Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Ready to perform duties of other positions as required by operational need.

Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Badge.

High School Diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training.
