Analytical Laboratory TechnicianPosition Overview
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine analytical laboratory testing on hydrocarbon- and water-based samples
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of data
Execute analytical methods and experiments in accordance with approved procedures, test methods, and safety guidelines
Accurately record, analyze, and interpret laboratory data with full traceability and compliance to laboratory standards
Prepare and maintain clear, well-documented laboratory records, reports, and data summaries
Communicate analytical results clearly and timely to scientists, engineers, and Sales teams
Assist other Analytical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed
Identify and diagnose anomalies in test results or instrumentation
Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and housekeeping practices to maintain a compliant and organized work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team
Knowledge of analytical testing techniques and laboratory instrumentation
Ability to analyze data accurately and thoroughly document results
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred
Will consider a combination of education and 5 years of relevant laboratory experience in lieu of a degree
2–4 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred
Work Environment
Laboratory-based role with exposure to chemical samples and analytical equipment
Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and data integrity

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
