TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Carmel, Indiana.
Job Details
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Travel
Responsibilities
Provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery.
Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean delivery preparations.
Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
Check cervix periodically to monitor progression or lack of dilation.
Ensure beds stay clean and dry; clean bodily fluids during the birthing process.
Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
Provide immediate care to newborns.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of recent acute care experience.
Certification: ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, 2 years or more.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods; lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
