Description
Pay: Starting from $34.82/hr - $45.40/hr
Shift: Night Shift (Currently Hiring)
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2, 3-2, 2-3)
Night Shift: 5:50 PM - 6:20 AM
Facility operates 24/7
Must be available for overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage as needed
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, steam, and compressed air systems
Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Conduct daily ammonia system inspections and rounds
Support equipment modifications and technical troubleshooting
Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Root Cause Analysis activities
Perform maintenance during both production and scheduled downtime
Assist maintenance technicians and support training of new employees
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Education & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1-2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience or technical trade certification
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred experience with ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, and steam systems
RETA CARO or CIRO certification required or obtainable within 12 months
Ability to use APR respirators and SCBA
Ability to perform duties as part of a HAZMAT team
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
Wear required PPE including arc flash suits, respirators, and protective clothing
Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or wet environments
Work around high-speed industrial machinery and food allergens
Ability to certify as a HAZMAT Technician and respond in Level A suit
Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
Work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
