Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility in Temple City, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through therapeutic and engaging recreational activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical well‑being.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized and group recreational therapy programs
Assess residents’ interests, abilities, and needs
Document participation, progress, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support each resident’s care plan
Lead a variety of activities including music, arts and crafts, games, and sensory programs
Qualifications
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Licensed Recreation Therapist in California
Master’s Degree
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long‑term care setting preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creativity, organization, and a resident‑centered mindset
