Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician (FST), Mechanical, for the Folding Carton, Hot Foil Stamping product line. The FST provides timely and efficient machine repairs and installations for customers primarily in the Corrugated Board product line and serves as the front‑line representative for the BOBST product range.

Travel Requirements
90% travel required – candidates must be willing to travel extensively throughout Canada and the United States, ideally within one hour of a major international airport.

Key Responsibilities

Machine service (electrical & mechanical): repair and installation of new machines, relocation of existing equipment, and customer training.

Preventative maintenance: ordering parts, troubleshooting issues, and proactively recommending service and maintenance programs.

Provide excellent customer service as the core advisor to confirm, clarify, and meet customer expectations at every stage of contact.

Key Skills & Attributes

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the packaging or finishing converting industry as a mechanic on flat‑bed die cutters.

Background in mechanical engineering.

Diagnosing faults and making recommendations in a customer environment.

Knowledge of hand and power tools.

Strong analysis skills and attention to detail.

Independent, responsible work style.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic environment.

Fluency with the metric system.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary estimate: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Education

Technical school or college related to mechanics, hydraulics, technology science, mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineering.
