Responsibilities
Uncontested Probate & Administration
Prepare and file probate applications (independent administration, dependent administration, muniment of title, small estate affidavits)
Draft routine pleadings, notices, oaths, bonds, and proposed orders
Coordinate service, citation, and publication requirements
Prepare inventories, appraisements, and lists of claims
Assist with asset collection, creditor notices, and estate administration tasks
Maintain probate calendars and track statutory deadlines
Communicate with clients regarding status updates and document collection
Contested Probate & Litigation
Assist attorneys with will contests, heirship disputes, fiduciary removal actions, and related litigation
Draft litigation pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence
Manage document production, organization, and review
Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial settings
Prepare hearing and trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials
E‑file documents and ensure compliance with local court rules
Maintain litigation deadlines and case management systems
Qualifications
3+ years of probate experience, including exposure to contested matters
Strong knowledge of probate procedures and court filing requirements
Experience with e‑filing systems and case management software
Excellent drafting, organizational, and time‑management skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and professionalism with clients and court personnel
Compensation
$57,000 – $65,000 yearly
