Position Overview
GLP Attorneys is seeking a Legal Assistant or an Experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Bellingham. This is a full-time, in-office position. The regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities. You will set up new client files, communicate with clients and other involved parties, manage medical bill payments, address client inquiries, conduct client reviews, handle correspondence, maintain case records, assist with PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate. Your contributions have a meaningful impact on the outstanding results we deliver to our clients.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Attorney and their legal team to support a caseload.
Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure cases are managed effectively and efficiently.
Set up new client files, manage case records, assist with PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate.
Maintain regular communication with clients, healthcare providers, and other involved parties.
Handle client correspondence, address inquiries, and conduct client reviews.
Manage medical bill payments and support the tracking of related documentation.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required; advanced education or a paralegal certification is preferred.
Experience working as a legal assistant or in a professional office setting is highly desired.
Competency working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Prior experience in plaintiffs’ personal injury law is preferred.
Strong written communication skills and experience drafting professional correspondence.
Comfortable speaking with clients and healthcare providers over the phone and via email.
A detail-oriented approach, balanced with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A team-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering excellent client service.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly base pay range for this position is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour. This position is bonus eligible. Compensation is determined using local, national, and industry-specific data and is based on location, experience, education, and skill set.
