Job Description
Our firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our Garden City satellite office. The Garden City office handles Nassau County client intakes, court appearances, and trial support. It is staffed three times a week by the firm’s attorneys, with additional days as needed. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation experience and a proven ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Staff the satellite office for initial client intake support. Once a matter has been accepted and retained, the matter will be immediately transferred to another staff member.
Draft initial discovery responses and demands for the entire litigation paralegal staff (bills of particulars and responses to combined demands post Answer). After initial discovery is served, the matter will return to the assigned paralegal.
Draft and manage all other pleadings, including Summons & Complaints, Supplemental and Amended Bills of Particulars, Post Deposition discovery demands, motion practice and related documents.
Perform other standard personal injury paralegal work such as drafting Notice of Claims, Summons and Complaints, trial subpoenas, trial preparation materials, medical record summaries, and the like, while focusing primarily on Bill of Particulars specialization.
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
Full understanding of NYS personal injury procedures and filings.
Strong drafting, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced practice.
