LOCATION: US SOUTHCOM Doral, Florida
Position Overview
Serves as an administrative executive assistant for the Chief of Staff Office (COS) onsite in Doral, Florida.
Job Duties
Manage calendar and schedule meetings in support of operations within the Chief of Staff office.
Plan and coordinate travel in support of mission requirements.
Coordinate with the various joint directorate staffs to integrate and disseminate decision support documents for EXORDs, OPORDs, CONPLANs, and strategic operations in support of the Command\'s coordination requirement.
Coordinate logistics, develop communication, administration, and staff activities directly supporting the Chief of Staff.
Facilitate interoperability of joint staff systems and processes to ensure the Chief of Staff can supervise and manage joint command processes as required to execute CCDR\'s priorities.
Oversee staff actions addressing Combatant Commander, Joint Staff, Congressional, Ambassadorial, Service, Component, and Interagency issues.
Coordinate with other Combatant Command Executive Office to level-set or compare operational guides, policy, or doctrine.
Conduct strategic assessments of Headquarters staff involvement in combined exercises and training for Chief of Staff engagement.
Plan, interpret joint policies/doctrine during combined exercises and training to prioritize the Command\'s battle rhythm to obtain CCDR\'s decision in support of Combatant Command joint operations.
Serve as the office manager by keeping up with office supply inventory, screen and direct phone calls, direct correspondence, and organize and maintain office filing systems.
Job Requirements
Professional with outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experienced working in a team environment and with others to achieve mission goals
Experienced in developing strategic assessments as directed by the COS
Manage COS calendars and schedules
Ability to multitask
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE CURRENT ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Experienced in using MS Office tools, IT systems, DTS/Travel systems
Experience in organizing, scheduling travel arrangements
Experience overseeing and maintaining office supplies
BA/BS degree or equivalent years in Business Administration
