At Dycom Industries, as a Senior Accountant, you’ll play an integral role in day-to-day corporate accounting operations; including but not limited to managing general ledger activities, reconciling accounts, month‑end close, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. What You’ll Do
Prepare & post journal entries with supporting documentation; including accruals and other necessary adjusting entries
Contribute to timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
Identify and address discrepancies or issues that arise, resolving them in a timely manner
Identify opportunities for improvements in accounting operations
What You’ll Need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent - CPA preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on month‑end close activities
Sound business and financial acumen
Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred
Additional Qualifications
Highly self‑motivated and directed; takes initiative
Strong written and oral communication skills
Keen attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities
A talent for creative thinking and problem solving
Ability to work both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Willingness to learn and grow
Physical Abilities & Exposures
Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods
Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training
