Overview
Hybrid/Local Oracle DBA with 15+ years of experience and expertise in PL/SQL, RAC, Red Hat Linux/Unix shell/Perl/Java, ASM, Exadata, OEM, tuning, SQL Server, DBA Triggers, and expdp/impdp.
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 36 Months
Responsibilities
Monitor alert logs, OEM and system alerts, and act on the results
Participate in after-hours Production support as needed
Write simple to complex Linux/Unix shell scripts and Perl scripts
Work with Linux, Unix, Java, and DBA tooling to support production environments
Automate, script, and streamline processes for efficiency and accuracy using Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools
Performance tuning of Oracle objects and queries in Oracle 19c using OEM or third-party tools
Apply Oracle backup methodologies and manage backups with expdp/impdp
Understand and support production environments, technical support, and troubleshooting
Maintain knowledge of Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Exadata
Write and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Stored Procedures/Functions, Packages, and Database Triggers
Tune Oracle SQL and PL/SQL performance and monitor data availability
Design database architecture and perform logical database design and data modeling
Support the software development lifecycle and maintain high availability of the database service
Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management
Ensure data privacy and protection initiatives are followed
Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills
Provide in-depth reliability and problem-solving across data infrastructure
Identify and write robust backup/restoration strategies and disaster recovery plans
Ability to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex Oracle issues
Ability to work independently and resolve complex Oracle issues
Data Masking and Test Data Management (TDM)
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data masking standards for Oracle databases
Define masking rules, algorithms, and transformation logic aligned with business and compliance requirements
Ensure masked data remains referentially intact across schemas and applications
Configure and execute masking workflows using the organization’s Test Data Management tool
Build reusable masking templates, rule sets, and automation pipelines
Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with Oracle, PL/SQL
2+ years of experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and database infrastructure design on RAC Databases
Experience in Red Hat Linux and Oracle Linux operating systems
Experience in standardizing database installations and configurations
Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes using Unix shell scripting or other tools
Broad experience in performance tuning of Oracle databases
Comprehensive understanding of Oracle backup methodologies
Experience with data pump (expdp/impdp)
Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux system administration
Ability to write SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Experience with data privacy and protection initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and resolve complex Oracle issues
