Job Overview
The Central Monitor Tech is responsible for identifying cardiac rhythms and notifying the nurse of changes in rhythm.
Responsibilities
Will be responsible for watching a total of 41 rhythm channels in a central area.
As directed, will assume responsibility for facilitating nursing unit operations under the direction of the RN.
These duties include clerical and specific patient care activities.
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school education or GED equivalent. Completion of an approved nursing assistant or unit secretary course; or currently attending an approved Nursing program (RN, LPN).
Previous experience as Unit Secretary preferred
Rhythm Identification Course within 90 days of hire.
Strip Identification Test within 30 days of hire
BLS.
