Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Schedule: Full‑time, On‑Site
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay Rate: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour
Duration: 6+ month contract with strong potential for conversion to direct hire

What You'll Do
Provide technical leadership to Systems and Software Engineers within a SysML‑based MBSE environment
Develop and execute MBSE strategies across full program lifecycles, including requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, and validation
Define and manage system architecture, requirements flow‑down, trade studies, and technical performance measures
Lead the development of MBSE plans, ensuring clear ownership, structure, and execution of model elements
Guide cross‑functional teams in requirements decomposition for both functional and non‑functional system requirements
Support proposal development, scope definition, work breakdown structures, and program planning activities
Drive integration of digital engineering tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Cameo, MADe, Capital Harness, SLICWave) to establish a connected engineering ecosystem
Contribute to the development and standardization of MBSE methodologies, including style guides and reusable model frameworks
Support system integration, risk management, testing, and technical program reviews
What You Bring
Strong experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in complex engineering environments
Proficiency in SysML and Cameo Enterprise Architecture (or similar MBSE tools)
Experience with requirements decomposition, system architecture, and end‑to‑end system lifecycle processes
Familiarity with digital engineering tools such as Teamcenter, MADe, Capital Harness, or similar platforms
Ability to lead technical efforts and guide cross‑functional engineering teams
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Experience supporting defense, military, or highly regulated engineering programs is highly preferred
