Qualifications

TS/SCI Security Clearance

Experienced Network Engineer with 4+ years of experience

Experience in complex telecommunications applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis

Experience with large‑scale enterprise/global networks in a high‑paced diverse environment

Experience with Cisco and Juniper switches, routers, cryptographic devices, and IPSEC

Experience with network‑analysis tools (Cisco Network Analysis Modules, SolarWinds Network Management, OPNET NetOne, HP Network Node Manager, etc.)

Experience supporting IP services to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QoS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC)

Experience with BGP, OSPF, and MPLS

Analysis and maintenance of hardware and software for LAN, WAN, internet, intranet, and other data‑communication systems

Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, protocols, VoIP, DNS, remote access, VPN, routing, switching, TCP/IP routing technologies (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and applicable business lines/industries

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Design, engineering, implementation, maintenance, and upgrades of LAN/WAN and security infrastructure

Advanced network design, engineering, and implementation

Creation of Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) equipment lists and cost estimates

Ability to estimate labor for planning, engineering, procurement, and installation of complex transport solutions

Understanding of DISA and IC standards and processes

Proficiency in MS Office suite

Experience with DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and planning instructions

DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01‑M, IAT II required

Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field

Responsibilities

Provide support for LAN/WAN by developing support processes, procedures, and guidelines for troubleshooting network events and performing sustaining tasks

Conduct research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local and wide‑area network hardware, software, and applications

Design and maintain network environments to comply with relevant compliance standards and recommend technology solutions to senior management

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of existing network and security hardware and software to provide third‑tier technical and administrative support and perform complex internal analysis

Act as the technical interface with vendors and external stakeholders, reviewing and recommending network and security service/maintenance arrangements

Review technical documentation of supported environments to ensure accuracy and currency

Provide O&S of LAN/WAN services on an expanded 24×7 on‑site support level and an expanded 12×5 core‑hour support level, with on‑call support and a two‑hour response time during non‑core hours

Maintain and repair outside plan cabling on a standard 8×5 support level for communications

Install and configure WAN and LAN hardware, including voice, video, and data cable systems

Develop system specifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and all relevant documentation

Develop risk‑management and mitigation strategies and maintain compliance with QA standards, ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded

Work individually and as part of integrated teams

Require minimal guidance from more senior technicians, specialists, and managers, while providing guidance to lower‑level staff

Apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities, assist senior staff, and perform all tasks of lower‑level technicians or specialists
