The position is in the Office of the General Counsel, Department of Children and Families, located at 9393 N. Florida Avenue, Suite 900, Tampa, FL 33612.
What You Will Do
Attends staffing upon request of the Office of Licensing or the Office of Child and Family Wellbeing, including Institutional cases.
Assesses requested action from Licensing and Investigations, including but not limited to the issuance of fines or other progressive discipline to childcare facilities and homes in the coverage area; and the issuance of injunctions under s. 39.302 Fla. Stat.
Assists with Complaints, Administrative Fines, and other progressive discipline of childcare facilities and homes in the subject area.
Drafts and files various pleadings, motions, orders, and other legal documents/memoranda.
Responsible for representing the Department in court and/or administrative hearings and generally obtains favorable outcomes at the same.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Member of the Florida Bar.
