Commitment:
Part-time, approximately 3–10 hours per week (anticipated but not guaranteed)

Position Overview
Madonna Loftus, LLP is seeking a part-time associate attorney to assist with an active litigation practice. The role includes a combination of legal drafting and court appearances, primarily in family law and criminal matters, with occasional civil litigation work.
Practice Areas
Family law (custody, support, divorce, Protection From Abuse matters)
Criminal defense (summary and misdemeanor matters)
Some occasional civil litigation and motion practice
Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, discovery, and related court filings
Appear at hearings, conferences, and proceedings in Pennsylvania courts
Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings when necessary
Review case files and provide legal analysis and recommendations
Communicate professionally with opposing counsel, court staff, and clients
Maintain accurate records of time and work performed
Requirements
Active Pennsylvania law license in good standing
Courtroom experience strongly preferred
Experience in family law and/or criminal defense preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Reliable availability for scheduled court appearances, including occasional short‑notice matters
Professional liability (malpractice) insurance required, or ability to obtain coverage
Schedule & Compensation
Workload will vary; 3–10 hours per week (anticipated, but not guaranteed)
Flexible scheduling depending on court dates and drafting needs
Compensation structure to be discussed (hourly and/or per‑appearance, depending on assignment)
