A well-established downtown Los Angeles law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Secretary to support busy litigation attorneys. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values accuracy, organization, and long-term career stability.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, format, and

file pleadings and litigation documents in California state and federal courts , including e-filing and knowledge of local rules

Maintain and manage calendaring

for multiple attorneys, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, discovery cutoffs, and trial dates

Draft and revise correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial-related documents

Coordinate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and vendors

Handle administrative litigation support from inception through trial

Top Qualifications We're Looking For

Strong State & Federal Filings Experience

Demonstrated experience with California state and federal court filings (including CM/ECF)

Expert Calendaring Skills

Proven ability to manage complex litigation calendars and critical deadlines with precision

Career Stability

A solid employment history showing longevity and commitment (not frequent moves every 1-2 years)

Additional Requirements

Prior

insurance defense litigation

experience strongly preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal document formatting

Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

Professional communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
