Responsibilities

Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
Provide legal counsel and analyze client needs to identify solutions and determine case strategies
Manage case managers and legal assistants in connection with keeping track of case progression
Draft correspondence and review demands
Negotiate the best outcome for clients
Perform legal research
Qualifications

Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus
Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
Ability to use Microsoft Office is required
Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
Prior experience working for a plaintiff personal injury law firm for a minimum of 2 years required
Prior experience negotiating personal injury claims required
Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
Must be able to understand medical records and medical treatment
Must understand the nuances in commercial cases
Must be able to do legal research for complex issues
Must be able to handle a docket with minimal supervision
Must be able to effectively manage a team of legal assistants
Compensation

$110,000+ per year and eligible for bonus
