Role Overview
Sodexo has an outstanding opportunity for a Full Time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join their dynamic clinical team at The Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, located in Valencia, CA (Los Angeles Metro area). Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is a 357-bed comprehensive trauma center, not-for-profit community hospital.

What You’ll Do

Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, reassessments, and consults to identify nutritional risk across diverse inpatient populations

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans; document interventions and outcomes in Meditech EMR

Deliver patient‑ and family‑centered nutrition education to support therapeutic diets and informed food choices

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team during rounds to assess needs and recommend diet modifications

Assist with nutrition training for Patient Ambassadors and participate in community outreach to support patient experience and wellness initiative

What You Bring

Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD‑eligible

Familiarity with Joint Commission, Title 22, and California regulatory standards preferred

Strong organizational, communication, time‑management, and customer service skills

Self‑directed, flexible professional who collaborates effectively with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff, with a focus on outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire.

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
