Job Description
A Post-doctoral Associate in Analytical Chemistry is available to work on mass spectrometry research led by Prof. Boone Prentice (https://prentice.chem.ufl.edu/) in the Department of Chemistry. The position involves work on novel gas‑phase ion chemistry, tissue expansion protocols, mass spectrometry instrumentation, imaging mass spectrometry method development, image and data processing, and/or biomedical applications. As a member of the team, you will develop cutting‑edge bioanalytical mass spectrometry technologies to enable unique insight into molecular pathology.

This position will be initially awarded for one year and, contingent upon strong performance, conduct, and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to two years.

Expected Salary
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The compensation includes a full benefits package.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.

Preferred

Experience with mass spectrometry (including imaging mass spectrometry)

Self‑motivated with strong time management and problem‑solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Enthusiasm for working on multidisciplinary projects
